Longborough is situated near Moreton in the Marsh Gloucestershire. Martin and Lizzie Graham have built an opera house seating 480 in the grounds of their house ,which has beautiful views looking across the Evenlode valley.
The grounds are also perfect for picnicking in during the 90 minute interval in each performance (with the exception of Das Rheingold which has no interval)
The 2007 season opens with Das Rheingold conducted by Anthony Negus on Saturday 23rd June, starting at 19.30.
This is followed by a new LFO production of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin starting on Friday 6th July at 18.30 and the Festival finishes with a revival of Cosi fan tutte on Friday 20th July, again starting at 18.30.
