Cotswold District Council Leader Lynden Stowe has slammed developer-led proposals to build a mega “eco town” at Long Marston, Warwickshire. The site is barely half a mile from the specially-designated Cotswolds AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Three cheers for Councillor Stowe.
The Warwickshire local STOP THE ECO-TOWN CAMPAIGN has made a good start with the meeting at Stratford Racecourse and following march by protestors to the proposed site at Long Marston. Further protests are planned and a roadshow around Stratford and surrounding villages as far as Chipping Campden.
We have nearly 800 names on an E-petition to the Prime Minister, so far as it has only been running for just over a week. We urgently need more names as quickly as possible.
