Saturday March 15th to Saturday April 19th - 6HQ Photographic Gallery, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire - a new Exhibition - Black and White - featuring photography by Chris Poole and ceramics by Janet Stahelin Edmondson.

Chris Poole MBE LRPS is a photographer who has lived abroad for many years but has now settled in Herefordshire. This exhibition features a mixture of local landscape photographs plus images from further afield. Chris uses both film and digital cameras although the majority of his work is captured on film and digitally printed, all in monochrome, some using infrared film.
Chris has been creating high-quality images to illustrate magazine features for many years. His work has been used in publications such as Motor Boat & Yachting, Herefordshire Life and Shropshire Life among other travel and lifestyle titles. During 2007 Chris was awarded a distinction of the Royal Photographic Society. His work as a photographer was featured in F2 Freelance Magazine, the Journal of the Royal Photographic Society and by the Bureau of Freelance Photographers.

Janet Stahelin Edmondson is a ceramicist with a studio in London where she creates beautiful vessels using porcelain imprinted with various textiles. Inspired by her family history in the fashion, fabric and textile industry, her first series of such work was created using antique lace inherited from her Swiss grandfather. She uses the antique lace as the source of patterns which she imprints into fine porcelain, which, because of it’s nature, absorbs the delicacy of the lace and reflects its texture and provides a unique interpretation of the translucency of it. The resulting work is both beautiful and useful having been glazed on the inside and designed to be used and fit for purpose. It sells in galleries all over the UK.
Janet was originally trained at the Manchester School of Art where she graduated in Three Dimensional Design specializing in Ceramics and Silversmithing.

6HQ Photographic Gallery, situated on the historic and beautiful High Street of Chipping Campden, was the first photographic gallery in the North Cotswolds.

Featuring a constantly changing collection of the work of local and international photographers with images that capture the imagination - some serious, some quirky- there is always something to lift the spirit and make you smile.

6HQ is very pleased to welcome both Chris and Janet.

The Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 11.00 to 17.00
