Cotswolds based bakery Four Anjels are finalists in the Bakery Category of the Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF) Diamond Awards. Four Anjels have two products in the running for an award - Four Anjels Stem Ginger Cake and Four Anjels Stem Ginger Biscuits and the winners will be revealed on Saturday May 17th at HEFF’s 10th Anniversary “Dinner of the Decade” at the Coventry Ricoh Arena.

Columbine Cakes bakery at Draycott, near Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds, began baking just four biscuits to sell nationally in March 2005. The Master Baker put so much love and care in to these best selling biscuits that they decided to honour him and name them after his four granddaughters, his Four Anjels.
The biscuits began to win awards so the bakery decided in 2006 to create cakes and slices under the Four Anjels trademark.

The Four Anjels philosophy is simple. “We start with wholesome ingredients, create a rich buttery taste, then add real chunks of flavour and handmake with care”

Their products are now sold in 45 selected Waitrose stores, John Lewis Food Hall in Oxford Street London, Selfridges in Birmingham, Manchester and London and top notch delicatessens and farm shops across the UK.

Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF) is the regional food group for the West Midlands representing local producers. Making locally produced, quality food available to a wider public, raising consumer awareness of the regional strengths and providing sustainable business opportunities to the local food economy.
A total of 36 exciting products made by 26 different food and drink producers are finalists in the nine categories of the Heart of England Fine Foods Diamond Awards.
There are four finalists in each of the nine main categories of the awards which are drinks, meat, poultry and game,prepared, bakery, confectionery, dairy, condiments and preserves and desserts.
The aim of the awards is to showcase the finest local produce in the Midlands and raise the profile of the quality of the Region’s locally produced food.
