Simon Chorley Art & Antiques kicked off their Autumn season with a fantastic price achieved at last week’s blockbuster auction (Thursday 18 September 2008) when a local Gloucestershire family sold a Louis XIV ebony, ivory and tortoiseshell cabinet, c 1650, for an astonishing £65,000 against an estimate of £20,000-£25,000.
