Cotswold MP shows support for Wotton-under-Edge Post Office

Following the recent closure of 12 Post Office branches across the Cotswolds, local MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown visited the Post Office in Wotton-under-Edge to demonstrate his support for the continued operation of the branch and to be handed copies of a postcard campaign in support of the Post Office Card Account (POCA2).

New role will cut Cotswold District Council’s carbon emissions

A new post dedicated to tackling climate change has been created at Cotswold District Council this month with to the appointment of Climate Change and Carbon Management Officer Kirsty Merritt.

Kirsty, who has a year-long contract with the Council, started work on June 23rd as the Council’s new Climate Change and Carbon Management Officer.  She will be based at the Council’s Trinity Road offices and will work with staff and partner organisations to help reduce Council emissions, tackle climate change and promote measures to mitigate and adapt to its predicted effects.

Toddington based heritage railway, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, is laying on a special steam train with a jazz band send off in aid of the cancer charity, Maggie’s Cotswolds. Cotswold MP finally sees common sense from Post Office Ltd in Rendcomb consultation

Cotswold MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown has made his final representation to Post Office Ltd consultation on the proposed outreach hours for Rendcomb Post Office. The Rendcomb branch was one of twelve Post Offices across the Cotswolds which the Post Office has confirmed will close but is one of the eight of those which will receive outreach.
