Cotswolds based bakery Four Anjels are finalists in the Bakery Category of the Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF) Diamond Awards. Four Anjels have two products in the running for an award - Four Anjels Stem Ginger Cake and Four Anjels Stem Ginger Biscuits and the winners will be revealed on Saturday May 17th at HEFF’s 10th Anniversary “Dinner of the Decade” at the Coventry Ricoh Arena. Businesses will be boosted thanks to a £6,500 grant awarded to Cotswold District Council to help improve health and safety in workplaces.
The funding – which has come from the Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust – will be used to help the Council’s Food and Safety team to deliver important messages to businesses to safeguard the health of employees across the Cotswolds. Read the rest of this article »

The Club will have its own stall plus a number of Club Members will be selling their own plants.
Come and buy from a wide range of interesting and unusual plants and have a Cream Tea at the same time. This is a very good afternoon out in a lovely village in the Cotswolds, the countryside and the gardens are looking lovely at this time of year, and you will remember your visit to Ebrington when those plants are blooming in your own garden.

A new plan has been published setting out policies and goals for the management of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, (AONB). The AONB covers 790 square miles and is the second largest protected landscape in England, stretching from south Warwickshire and Worcestershire in the north, through Gloucestershire and parts of west Oxfordshire, down to west Wiltshire and the area surrounding Bath in the south. Cotswolds based Steve Edwards has completed marathon number 453 in his world record challenge to complete 500 marathons in an average time of under 200 minutes- 3 hours 20 minutes. Marathon number 453 was completed in 3 hours 12 minutes and 57 seconds - so Steve is well on target and for once this was a local marathon so he didn’t have to spend hours travelling as well as hours running.
