A competition that encourages the traditional skill of hedgelaying takes place in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in November. Hedgelayers from across the UK will take part the North Cotswolds Hedgelaying competition, which takes place on Saturday 15th November at Foss Cross on the A429 between Northleach and Cirencester. The leader of the Conservative Party, David Cameron MP has shown a keen interest in work that is being undertaken to help conserve the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Mr.Cameron made a visit on Friday 24th October to an AONB conservation training site in his constituency of Witney.
