A Cotswold estate has been told to replant a 200m length of hedgerow it removed because it failed to tell the District Council of its plans.

A 300 strong band of volunteers will take part in an event this weekend to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The Cotswold Voluntary Wardens were established in 1968 and have spent the past four decades working to conserve the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

A year on from its launch in the summer of 2007, the Cotswold Way National Trail now has a new host body and project team. Natural England has appointed the Cotswolds Conservation Board to host the Cotswold Way, under an initial one year agreement and the trail offices have relocated to the board’s headquarters at Northleach in Gloucestershire. Come and buy from a wide range of interesting and unusual plants and have a Cream Tea at the same time. This is a very good afternoon out in a lovely village in the Cotswolds, the countryside and the gardens are looking lovely at this time of year, and you will remember your visit to Ebrington when those plants are blooming in your own garden.
