Famous best selling local author Susan Hill is holding another fund-raising day, this time for the Village Hall Fund and, apart from her own books being for sale and all the other attractions, Susan has another very special stall - the popular and amazing “Magic Handbag Stall”.
Saturday 20th September - 6.45 for 7.00 pm Ebrington Village Hall, near Chipping Campden.
Another of Ebrington’s famous evenings of entertainment is back for a fourth year.

There are 112 Classes covering Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Floral Art, Children’s Classes – under Five Years, Five to Eight Years and Nine to Twelve Years,- Cookery, Wine, Photography and Craft Work. Safari Suppers get their name from the fact that people travel from house to house for a three course meal. Hence “Going on Safari”. Each host prepares one course of a three course meal and hosts upto 10 guests who have starters at one venue and then move on to another host for the main course with everybody arriving back at Ebrington Village Hall for the final course of “puds” and coffee. Ebrington & District Gardening Club goes to Broughton Grange & Broughton Castle

Broughton Grange Gardens are an impressive 25 acres of garden and light woodland in an attractive Oxfordshire setting. The centrepiece is a large terraced walled garden created by Tom Stuart-Smith in 2001.
Broughton Castle nearby is ”about the most beautiful castle in all England….for sheer loveliness of the combination of water,woods ands picturesque buildings.” - a generous tribute from historian Sir Charles Oman in 1898.
Sunday 18th May - 14.00 to 17.00 Ebrington Village Hall, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire
The Club will have its own stall plus a number of Club Members will be selling their own plants.
Come and buy from a wide range of interesting and unusual plants and have a Cream Tea at the same time. This is a very good afternoon out in a lovely village in the Cotswolds, the countryside and the gardens are looking lovely at this time of year, and you will remember your visit to Ebrington when those plants are blooming in your own garden.

St. George is the patron saint of England and St. Georges Day is April 23rd but Ebrington are celebrating the Day on the nearest Sunday with a traditional Sunday Family Lunch. Dress is an optional English Theme but it is certainly the day for having a red rose in your button hole whatever you wear.
