A fascinating loan exhibition of ten centuries of monastic treasure gathered over the years by the Benedictine monks at Prinknash Abbey is on show at Simon Chorley, Art & Antiques, Prinknash Abbey Park, Gloucestershire, GL4 8EX. The exhibition will include precious jewellery, textiles, chalices, paintings and furniture. The objects date from the 11th Century to the 20th Century.

A major exhibition of Richard Eurich’s work who is regarded as one of Britain’s leading figurative artists, in a tradition that runs from Hogarth and Turner, via the Pre-Raphaelites, to his contemporaries. He belonged to a very talented generation of British Artists that included Barbara Hepworth, John Piper, Eric Ravilious, Ceri Richards and Graham Sutherland and was regarded as their equal in originality, perceptiveness and the quality of his work.

This special exhibition by the renowned wildlife artist and steam locomotive owner David Shepherd is being held in aid of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and combines his two passions – endangered wildlife and steam locomotives. Also operating over the GWR railway during the weekend will be David Shepherd’s own giant of the steam age – locomotive 9F 2-10-0 No. 92203 Black Prince which was one of the last steam locomotives to be built by BR.
