Steve Edwards is back and running – Marathon number 454 is completed
Features, Places by Tony No Comments »Remember that Cotswolds based Steve Edwards is going for a world record by completing 500 marathons at an average race time of under 3 hours 20 minutes. He aims to complete the 500 marathons in Year 2012 to coincide with both the Olympics in the UK and his own 50th birthday. He has just completed Marathon Number 454 after a well deserved rest following on from his world record breaking time for a 10 marathons in 10 days challenge set in May this year. A jam-packed schedule of fun activities for children and teens is being lined up with the launch of Cotswold District Council’s successful ‘Summer off the Streets’ programme this month.

Businesses will be boosted thanks to a £6,500 grant awarded to Cotswold District Council to help improve health and safety in workplaces.

Firefighters have come to the rescue of Cotswold fitness instructors – by providing the perfect venue for a weekly Tai Chi class.
Cotswold District Council’s Active and Able Team couldn’t find a suitable location for their classes in Tetbury – until Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service offered a solution. Counting up to 500 Marathons- Number 451 is completed on target
Features, Places by Tony No Comments »Cotswolds based Steve Edwards completed Marathon number 451 on Sunday April 6th.
Steve only had to go to Taunton, Somerset this time, to complete marathon number 451 in his bid for a world record of running 500 marathons by 2012 in an average time of under 3 hours 20 minutes. Only 49 more races to go! The Flora London Marathon is next on the list.
